BTC originally created as an alternative to paper money, has now become the most valuable digital asset.

It is the market leader, dominating the entire cryptocurrency world and those who understand it, love speaking about the coin during round table conversations, trade with analysis, compare it's price action to make predictions on ALT coin seasons, some store BTC for value, whilst others are simply clueless or not interested due to it's volatility and risk.
