How to make Bookmarks using Origami paper - Rabbit Style

Hey bees! And crafters, happy weekend to you all. I'm here to share this cute stylish bookmarks I made and also teach you on how to make them if it's something you are interested in doing to style up the pages of your notepads. Before I go into the process of how I made this, let me share a few materials I used for this creation. You just need this few items to make this stylish bookmarks
Materials Used
- Origami Paper
- Ruler
- Measuring Tape
- Colour Makers
PROCESS
- Step 1
For step one, all you need is the right measurements for your origami paper, note that you can use any paper of your choice to do this or even learn it first, you can equally use any plain paper or a sheet from your notepad to try. First of all, take the measurements for all four sides of your square, the four sides should be equal. In my case I used 6.8CM although I later increased it a bit while cutting out the paper because it appeared a bit smaller than what I wanted, so I increased it with an extra 0.2 CM making it 7CM in total.

- Step 2
I cut out four different papers for this creation which is for the four different corners of a notepad. When you have the four square papers cut out, the next step is to pick each of the papers to start your folding. Pick one of the papers, fold it into two equal halves for both sides as seen in the photo. Then you flip it over to the other side and make a triangular folding for both sides too

- Step 3
When you have gotten all sides of the paper folded, you pick the sides folded into triangle and bend it over to meet each other at the center, thereby creating a smaller square shape.
Then you pick the edge of the folded paper and create a tiny triangular fold at the top-edge, then fold it the second time creating another angle.
Flip open one end of the pointed fold and make a bend to meet the center of the paper, then flip over to left hand side and make the exact fold too.

- Step 4
After making the previous folds, open it up again to the initial part where you have the face of the rabbit. Pick the right folded part and pull it out a bit while creating the ears for the rabbit. Do the same for the left side fold. The ears should meet the edge where the facial forms starts and shouldn't go beyond that area.

- Step 5
After getting the folding right, repeat the process for the other remaining three papers you cut out earlier, and then set them aside for facial drawing and painting of a rabbit.
Then you draw the rabbit eyes, nose and whiskers and then colour those parts and the ears too using any colour markers of your choice

- Step 6
After drawing and colouring, you can then fit your rabbit bookmarks onto the four edges of your notepads and see how that sits pretty.

- Step 7
This was my final result after fixing the bookmarks on a sheet from my notepad.

I hope this was easy enough for you to follow, stay tune as I bring you more stylish bookmarks in my subsequent creations. Thank you for reading through my work and I hope you learned one or two from my tutorial, see you around!
