Despite this difficulty, Jock was undeterred by the circumstances and full of determination, and with the little money that his parents and friends could give him, he took his belongings and his guitar and decided to face the challenge, embarking on a trip to the new city.

He, with barely enough money to support himself for a week, was not daunted and went very happy to his classes at the university, trusting that he would find a solution for his financial problems.

After each day of school, Jock would scour the city looking for work, but opportunities were scarce and no one seemed to be hiring at the time. But Jock was not discouraged, and decided to take his guitar and try his luck playing on the streets.
