Changing the mentality of schools

The educational system of my country is really great as it has helped many to become great men and women throughout their lifetime. Many things are learnt from school, both the good, bad as well as the ugly but one thing is for sure, those who know why they are in school, will always come out to be successful in their academics.

My subliminal perspective about school however is that school teaches us to be "slaves." Slaves in the sense that school teaches us how to be loyal to a boss, how to work a 9 to 5 every day while receiving little money in return as salary, it teaches us basically how to work round the clock for someone who enjoys from our hard work, then receive little income monthly (which is barely enough for our survival). In a school, your own way of achieving solutions are not accepted, but you must do it in a way that will please the examiner or your teach, and this is exactly what happens between a worker and a boss.

Schools don't really teach a person to be financially free, but it teaches a person how to serve a boss and be happy while serving him/her

ONE THING I'D LOVE TO REMOVE FROM SCHOOLS

I will want to remove the mentality of: "you must work hard and tear you shirt for a boss before you make a penny," in which teachers are imbibing to the growing generation. All these things are cliché, hence the need for reformation.

Gone are the days where hard work pays. Without a doubt, hardwork pays but when contextualizing financial freedom, hard work is the secondary tool needed.
Good Night GIF
I watched this video on Facebook where a boss got a new Ferrari and the worker congratulated him. Do you know what he replied? The boss said: thank you, if you worked harder, I will get another one by next year.

I don't think you need an explanation for that do you?

WHAT I WILL REPLACE THE MENTALITY WITH?

When I eradicate that mentality, I will let student understand perfectly that their future is in their hands and as such, their decisions needs to be reevaluated. I will introduce a new kind set of the understanding of cash flow and allow the students choose between serving a boss and being their own boss. I will not impose it on them but allow them choose.

HOW TO ACCOMPLISH THIS TASK?

Accomplishing this will be very difficult because the "bosses" will always want somebody to be them workers so they can make more while lazying around (that's smart work).

However, changing a person's mindset starts from the root. Encouraging the Schools to make them understand my perspective will go a long way to achieve this goal. When the principal is convinced, the entire school is convinced. I will make schools see the importance of financial freedom and encourage them to still educate the students on the importance of values and still teach the student how to control wealth and not let wealth control them when they become financially free.

That will be all for now, I really appreciate the fact that you stopped by my post. I hope to see you next time.

There is urgent need for the transformation of schools mindset so that our country can provide better people out there.

I have already joined the community but due to my upcoming promotional exams and the need for time management, posting is really difficult.. I'll be sure to engage fully with it's activities after my exams..

Thanks for the support,I really appreciate

I kinda agree with you. Although I do feel like, if most students are not being pressured or given rules , they would not do anything, most don’t like school but it is the disciplinarian that comes with it that makes them what to strive to be a better person.

So, I feel like they should be like a course that would teach them mindset and also teachers to reduce the pressure and labour

Nice post

I partially agree with you because at times, a child's path to success is not dependent on their educational background. Without a doubt, school is good, but going to school.does not necessarily mean that a person will be successful in life. With this point however, I don't think a person should be "forced" to go to school or anything but instead, they should be convinced and be allowed to make their choice because as a human, everyone has a right to decision making.

Thank you for stopping by

But quality education is an important topic of discussion in the current context. It continues to attract the attention of educationists in the developed world as well as in the developing world. I always wish you the best and you have to be responsible for providing quality education to your family.

Youre undoubtedly correct however, the mode in which this knowledge is passed is very much wrong because it impacts a negative mindset to the pupils
