Sorry, World… Uncle Sam’s on a 10-Year Vacation
Okay, hear me out… am I the only one who thinks maybe we should stop trying to save the whole planet?
You know… stop telling other countries how to live, stop policing everyone else’s problems, and maybe—just maybe—stop handing out your tax money to programs we didn’t even vote for.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene gets it. She told the U.K.’s The Times:
"Americans are sick and tired of watching our men and women in uniform fight wars we shouldn’t even be in."
And the polls agree:
62% of Americans want the U.S. to focus on home problems instead of globe-trotting heroics.
Most still support foreign aid (because we’re generous like that), but we really want to fix our own stuff first—healthcare, schools, roads, bridges… you know, the small things.
Half of us even think cutting military and economic aid abroad sounds like a solid idea.
So imagine this: a big ol’ sign outside the White House that says:
“America Closed for Business: Remodeling – Reopening in 10 Years”
No more meddling in other countries’ drama
Taking care of our own borders, roads, and bridges
Spending our money on stuff we actually approve of
Is that too much to dream about? Too selfish? Or is it finally time to put America first, instead of giving away houses we didn’t ask for while fixing everyone else’s problems?
So… what do you think? Should we focus on ourselves… or keep playing world police and handing out free life advice for the rest of the planet?
