Career Criminals: Free to Roam, Thanks to “Smart” Policies 🤦‍♂️

Logan Federico was 22. She was executed on her knees during a home invasion by Alexander Dickey, a career criminal with 39 arrests and 25 felonies over the last decade.

But hey, the system thought, “Maybe another chance will turn him into a good person.” Sure… because that always works. 🙄

Her father, Stephen Federico — you know, the people actually living with the consequences — spoke at a House Judiciary Committee hearing in Charlotte, NC on Sept. 29, 2025. He demanded full sentences for violent offenders and stricter penalties for repeat criminals — because apparently statistics and “rosy numbers” are supposed to replace a daughter.

But of course, these policies aren’t creating more problems… right? 🤷‍♂️

Cashless bail: Repeat offenders released for free. Brilliant.

Progressive prosecutors: Downgrade serious crimes or ignore them entirely. Genius.

Sentencing reform: Violent criminals serve far too little time. Perfect logic.

Raising felony thresholds: Minor thefts treated as misdemeanors — let the repeat offenders slip right through.

💥 Question: How many times does someone have to prove they’re a criminal before the system stops letting them out? How much more damage has to happen before we demand better policies?

We’re not sugarcoating it. These policies put citizens at risk, and Logan Federico’s life is the tragic proof.

💬 Your turn: Do these laws make your community safer… or just let career criminals roam free?
