Good day to all members of MemeHive and Pepe tribes! Today is May 17, and we are now on our 6th week in this curation contest.

I have been busy these past few days due to school matters. After a short break last May 2, what follows is a series of meetings about the upcoming graduation and the strengthening of the financial standing of the school. Just today, even though it's the weekend, I still attended a meeting, and it took us three hours to complete the business.

Saturday is usually my rest day, but I had to wake up early to prepare for the meeting. Tomorrow, I wish that my eldest son will join us in celebrating their mother's 48th birthday.

That's enough for the side story. It is now time to count the number of articles that will qualify for this week's curation contest.

The period is between May 12 and 16. As usual, I will visit the MemeHive frontend and check articles that used the hashtags MEME and PEPE.

I didn't count the total number of articles published on the MemeHive frontend. It seems a waste of time to count. I just focused on articles with attractive titles and checked the profile of the blogger to see if he or she published any meme-related articles during the curation contest period. The cutoff is from the time I published the MemeHive Curation Contest Week 6.

The first article that caught my attention is Pi up 164 % in 7 days !!!. I didn't expect that @offgridlife would also pay attention to Pi Network. In fact, Pi was my first exposure to blockchain in July 2021, before I joined Hive the following month.

As I continue checking the posts, I observe a lot of new names. This made my selection more challenging. Another observation that influenced my choice is that some good posts already received a substantial amount of curation reward from their respective tribes, such as Actifit, Photography, and the City of Neoxian. One of the goals in this curation contest is to discover and award the underappreciated content creator.

Moreover, though this is not included in the criteria, this also affects my selection. The use of the hashtag meme should be within the first five tags, not at the last, which appears an afterthought or just an addition for token rewards. I also have reservations when I see posts that use more than 20 tags. Though other communities allow that, I think the PeakD limit of 10 is reasonable enough.

As for meme creators that published more than three posts, I just selected one that I think is more fun and directly related to memes.

@melrod97's images are great as memes. However, the posts lack the 150-word minimum requirement to explain what the meme is all about. As for @linda2021's article, it is good, but it was published late, so I cannot include it.

The selection process isn't easy. So please bear with me if you see mistakes. After more or less three hours, below is the list of entries that qualify for this week's MemeHive curation contest:
