This Wednesday, a circle around the lake, then a calorie bomb
For the part of the Balkans where I live (Southeastern Europe), it is quite normal for a flower like this to appear in the garden next to the building at the end of March.
But in the middle of February, when the sidewalks are supposed to be covered with snow, frankly, I don't expect flowers.
Climate change at work...
Neither summers nor winters are like they used to be...
Given the new circumstances, I no longer look at the calendar, which is the month or the day...
I look at the weather forecast, to find out how many degrees it is outside, then I look out the window, to see if it's clear or raining, snowing...
Depending on the weather I also decide what I will do and how I will dress.
And so for today, for #WednesdayWalk, due to clear skies and a temperature of 12-13°C, I put on a tracksuit and go for a walk.
Since it's very warm, so much so that I don't need a jacket, I decide to go for a walk by our lake, Ada Ciganlija.
I usually avoid walking by the water in winter, because it's always a few degrees colder, but with this kind of sun, there's no winter.
Since we already have nice weather for a walk, by walking along the path by the lake, we are looking for a bar that works, where we can take a break and refresh ourselves a bit.
It's not an overly long circuit, a little over 8 km, but we still need a break...
At the halfway point, we're already thinking that if we don't find a coffee shop that's working and where we can order a coffee, we'll take a position on the gravel or one of the benches we come across along the way.
Some bars were closed, some had no seats, and our favorite Cafe "Režiser(Director)", which serves excellent cakes, tarts, hot chocolates and shakes, had a free table for us.
We ordered a Plazma shake (Plasma biscuit is produced in Serbia and with it this shake is extremely tasty, but also quite high in calories) and enjoyed drinking it in the warm winter sun, while a crow watched us from a nearby lamp...
With this wednesday's walk, I wanted to show you the beauty of a February winter day on our beautiful lake and draw special attention to the cafe, which I recommend to stop by at Ada Ciganlija at any time of the year.
Ice caffee (which I can't drink because it's too sweet) I think is the best in the whole city...
