1000 mile journey - Break for a short spring walk
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step
Chinese proverb
Judging by the weather forecast, the shoes and clothes I wore this morning when I left for work, it didn't seem to me that today would be a day for walking.
Armed with an umbrella, I looked up at the sky, waiting for raindrops.
I didn't get wet 🙂
The crowd in the office did not in any way indicate that the middle of the week is slowly passing and that it is already Wednesday.
There was a lot of work, as if it was only Monday.
Busy with work, I didn't look out the window, except to hear the rain pattering on the windows.
The thunder and showers lasted all morning and the work I had to do in the dry office was not so difficult for me.
However, when the clouds parted and the sun shone through the window onto my laptop monitor, I took advantage of my break to rest.
As I had spent all my time at the laptop, I did not accept the invitation of my colleagues for coffee, but decided to relax a little and take a walk around the complex of the company where I work.
And so, quite unexpectedly, I'm making a post in the #wednesdaywalk community 😀
Someone might ask, what new can you see in the complex of the company where you have been working for so many years... OK, walk a circle, two, stretch your legs...
But what can you see while walking...
I can see the first signs of spring.
Apricot trees in bloom
Pruned apple trees
Pruned plum trees
An orchard has been planted in the complex, next to one of the larger halls.
Plums, apples and apricots.
The plum and apple trees have just undergone spring pruning, while the apricot trees, which bloom the earliest, are already adorned with beautiful flowers.
High temperatures for this time of year in my country (winter), caused the apricot to bloom.
I only hope that there will be no days of low temperatures or snow, which would have a disastrous effect on the blooming apricot trees.
Everything would fail...
And in accordance with the name of our community, and a topic challenge by @tattoodjay, here is a picture of the mural on the wall of the hall next to the apricot and apple trees.
I think about the 1,000-mile trip as I walk past the sculptures and murals that art students created and presented to the company as a thank you for the donations they received.
Thank you for stopping by my post and I hope you enjoyed the photos and the walk I shared with you
All photos are my property, taken today with a mobile phone
I'm glad spring is around the corner, thanks for sharing this walk, it's very interesting.
It was a short but very relaxing walk. It was much easier for me to bring the work day to an end when I was back in the office again.
Thanks for stopping by and walking with me among these trees 🙂
