My second day of doing the Shaolin Morning Exercise.

Among the five components, I love mental clarity the most.

As I recall yesterday's activities with the aid of my journal, these are the things I accomplished:

Women Facing Reality

One, before I retired to bed last night, I listened to a YouTube video about women at 40 hitting the wall. Among those who speak, I find a terrible life coach whose tongue is full of cursing. She could not finish a sentence without the "f" word. Listening to her, I interpreted her ideas of "empowerment" as "entitlement."

Reflecting on that video, I am reminded of a girl sharing the above thought. I think it's good for her to experience hitting the wall herself. Once she starts to realize that she cannot fight reality, I think that's when she will begin to listen. Many women these days believe that they can change reality by how they feel.

HIVE Income

The next thing I did before that video was to record my Hive income for June. Compared to last month, this month's earnings are very small, just 52.217 HIVE, or 11.61 USD. Perhaps I failed to record some amount that I used to level up our Splinterlands accounts. Here is the summary of our Hive yield for June:

Total income is 52.217 HIVE, or 11.61 USD. That's 654.619 in PHP. Last month, it was 153. 09 HIVE or 35.27 USD. In PHP, that's 1,963.94. I wonder about the reason for the big drop. I think it is not only because of the drop in HIVE's market price.

Hive Engine Activity

After publishing Waking the Body, Stirring the Soul, I received half of my 13th-month pay and my salary. I bought 2,000 PHP worth of XRP and used it to buy 168 HIVE on MEXC. After sending it to my Hive account, I powered up 42 HIVE to reach 9,800 HP. I sent the remaining 125 HIVE to Hive Engine and purchased 27,206 DEC to level up our family's Splinterlands accounts.

I bought Water and Death Archons, Prophet Rosa, and Reklah and upgraded them to level 2. It is very difficult to win in the modern ranked battles without upgrading your team.

For our gaming accounts to be more competitive, I also bought other cards like Arachne Weaver, Meriput Magician, Helheim Demon, Ulundin Overseer, and Moxian Rebel. These cards have unique abilities that increase our winning rates.

Checking the Hive Portfolio app, I was surprised to see that the value of our account is now $11,625.285 ($3,095.675 in tokens + $8,529.610 in NFTs).

Other Activities

Yesterday, by practicing the mental clarity exercise, I was reminded of my earlier commitment to set aside 10% of my paycheck for my retirement fund. Since the day Pi entered the crypto exchange, I lost track of my monthly discipline. The last funds I added to my Hive account were on March 15, when I transferred 10,000.00 PHP coming from my sales of the Pi token. Now that the Pi Network has returned to silence, it is good that I am reminded to also return to my saving discipline.

The incident yesterday related to campus electricity prompted me to talk to two contractors for them to submit a proposal to fix our electricity problem.

Another thing, as I checked the three exercises to stay after 50, I realized that I overdid it today. It is not daily, but two to three times a week, allowing at least a 24-hour interval for muscle recovery. Since I did it in two consecutive days, I am thinking of taking a rest for two days and will resume the exercise on Friday. MWF would be an ideal schedule for me.

Psalm 11

Reading Psalm 11, I gleaned three insights: the Lord as a refuge, the Lord's examination of men, and divine favor.

The Lord as a refuge is far stronger than the most stable mountain.

As for his examination of men, I think relying on our strength and abilities, we will fail his test. Who can pass the examination of an all-knowing and most holy God? My only confidence in passing the examination of God is by virtue of what His Son did on the cross. With my strength, I failed God's standard, and so I could not face him on the last day to account for all the things that I did here on earth. However, my faith in what Jesus did for his people is the only way for me to pass his examination. That's the only confidence I have in this part of life and the next.

About divine favor, this reminds me of Luke 2:52, where "Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men." That's how I understand the phrase "seeing the face of God."
