Governor Alex Otti suspends the Abia state Director of nursing and midwifery, including the principals of state-owned nursing and midwifery schools.
The current governor elect Governor Alex Otti has signed the suspension of the Abia State Director of nursing - Mrs Nwosu N and the principals of stste-owned scooh of nursing and midwifery.

The citizens of Nigeria as we all know is at the verge of annihilation and as such, things have been very hard for the citizens.
The students are suffering worse things as the increase in everything has greatly affected the student all round.
Additionally, nursing students are at their worst currently due to the bad governance and the stress load of being a nursing student but we will survive regardless of anything.
The latest happenings in Abia state school of nursing and midwifery is quite a surprise to everyone and a thing of joy as well.
The new governor elect by name sir Alex Otti just changed the entire authorities in the school of nursing and midwifery located at Abiriba, Umuahia and Federal medical center umuahia Abia state.
He has suspended the principals of the school of nursing and midwifery in all state-owned nursing institutions.
From my perspective, I really support this motion because we the students have been facing real things in the face of the previous principals, but one thing that has been bothering me is that - no reason was stated for the sudden change of principals.
He suspended both with the Abia State Director of nursing and midwifery by name Mrs Dorathy Nwosu N. But he did not give a clear reason for their suspension.
The order for the sudden change (suspension) was in a message which was signed few days ago by Mr Kazie Uko who is the Chief press secretary.
Additionally, another order was passed to the students not to pay any fees to any person but a provided UBA bank account which will be provided to us by the school.
With second order passed, one thing that is constantly coming into my mind is: "embezzlement of student funds.'' why? Well, if there is no embezzlement, then why will an order be passed for the students to stop paying cash go the school but should pay to a UBA bank account provided by the school and from my point of view, the government will be able to look into the provided account properly. Things are happening but sudden suspension of all the principals and Director of nursing? Well this is on a whole different level.
This is not he first time a change has happened, they mostly shuffle our lecturers and this act usually affect us educationally but a change like this is something that is very much beneficial (no cap) but before the students will be able to recover and get back to their reading, I think it will take some time.
All I hope for is a free and better school of nursing and midwifery, free from embezzlement and all forms of corruption.

Yes. I really love the change and believe that he will do better than the previous government but I can't help it but suspect that something is really going on within the government of Abia state.

Personally, I suspect there are some financial infractions in those schools of nursing.
I suggest the new governor should also look into the activities of the Education Development Commission which many suspect is involved in some wrong dealings.
