My Review of MCGI Topic Review: Is praying enough to get closer to God?
As I said in my comments even before listening to Bro Eli's Sermon below, it is never enough to only pray as the Bible said in First Thessalonians 5:17. You have to study the Bible, meditate and act on what you read that's when you graduate move closer and closer to God. You will fill the Holy Spirit of God hover around you all day and all night.

A quick thoughts: I believe that the phrase "pray without ceasing" is found in 1 Thessalonians 5:17. It is a wonderful passage, but it is also one that is sometimes misinterpreted. It's not necessary to pray nonstop and feel bad for every moment you're not if you want to pray without ceasing. Developing a lifestyle of prayer involves more than just getting up in the morning, setting aside 10 to 20 minutes, and then not praying again until the evening. This is what it means to pray without ceasing. But as the day goes on, it's your route through it.
According to the passage above, you do not only ask but you have to move to follow God compassionately by going into action when you ask then that's when you will knock and it will be open unto you.
Bro Eli simply said ask and act which is the teaching of the Bible.
If I had harboured sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened, David claimed. (Psalm 66:18) For the sake of our country, we must come before the Lord with a sincere and lowly spirit. Not alone must we obey, but we must also pray. In actuality, it takes the collective confession and repentance of thousands, even millions of people to bring about the kind of change that can transform a whole country. Do you have anything to confess to the Lord about your life? Don't hesitate any longer; act right away.
Lastly, prayer is never enough to get closer to God as God required us to worship, meditate, study according to Joshua 1:9.

Your insights highlight a pivotal point: prayer is a conversation, not just a monologue. Like any relationship, our bond with God deepens when there's active engagement: studying His word, reflecting, and then embodying those teachings.
