"The irony of shadows"

The ironic smile of the shadows.
As always, the beginning was with simple contours and lines.
I finally used up the pencils that were bought about 2 years ago.
These are real Koh-i-Noor.
Then began the painstaking work of transforming simple lines into more complex forms.
Gradually, the #eyes, eyebrows and lips acquire tangible outlines. A portrait similar to reality is formed.
At this stage, there is still an opportunity to correct something. Because then can only improve or destroy with one wrong stroke.
And now only 2 hours of work have passed. On my desk is a small imperfect #masterpiece.
All I have to do is to draw the hair, make the shadows.
In fact, 3 hours were spent on this #drawing. It's too fast for me. I used pencils and a black water-based #marker. In order to finish the work in the future, I will need another 2-3 hours. But this is more "polishing" and adding details. Well, the final point will be coating this paper with varnish.

I tried to do my best. It was really interesting work for me.
im getting back to drawing after a 2 year break, and for me its just like "calm" my mind.
With faces i struggle a lot :) have to watch some tutorials ,for good practices to learning draw portraits etc
Drawing also calms me down. Although drawing takes quite a lot of time. Unfortunately, I am not a professional artist. This is my hobby.
For me to, now I'm trying to get back, sketching at least every night to disconnect

In fact, I draw a lot with a mouse (that is, without a graphics tablet). But drawing with a real pencil is a completely different feeling.
Oh with a mouse i just draw basic lines stuff and edit, or photo retouch. I prefer a tablet to draw. I got recently a mew huion to replace my old wacom

Yeah, especially now that I see you've been here for a year! I'll reblog whatever I see from you and try to keep you in my HSBI rotation - more people seeing your work and accumulating post value from HSBI should help get some of the visibility your work deserves.
