Victory Over Three Healers

I’ve been sharing in my previous posts the difficulty of facing Quora Towershead on a battlefield. This is because this lady gladiator is very strong with 2 Magic and 2 Melee attacks, 11 health plus healing and bloodlust abilities. And it appears that these advantages are not enough. The other player wants to secure his victory by adding two healers to his battle team.

During the last Brawl, I confronted Quora three times. In the past, that would automatically mean three defeats. This time, I got her twice and I lost just once and I want to share what happened in one of those two victories.

Battle Lineup

Battle Link

Ruleset:

Briar Patch: All Monsters have the Thorns ability.

Even Stevens: Only Monsters with even Mana costs may be used in battles.

Mana Cap: 40

This is a medium mana fight. A player cannot utilize all his powerful cards. He has to be strategic in his choice. Picking a small mana warrior with unique strengths could be a big help in the team’s victory.

Tank: Baakjira

image.png

Though without offensive, this monster had a high health and two abilities that made it a very powerful tank especially against Magic attackers. Its Void ability reduced damage from magic attacks. Its Slow ability reduces the speed of all enemy monsters. '

Second Position: Djinn Oshannus

image.png

Just like Baakjira, Djinn Oshannus also possessed the Void ability. At level 2, this water monster possessed another ability. This time it’s Phase, causing Magic attackers to miss him. I placed him in the second position for I find him strong against Snipers and enemy monsters with Blast ability.

Third Position: River Nymph

image.png

River Nymph is the first Warrior that I selected despite its low mana. A level 4 River Nymph has an Amplify ability that “increases Magic, Return Fire and Thorns damage to all enemy Monsters by 1.”

Fourth Position: Coral Wraith

image.png

Coral Wraith too is very vulnerable against Opportunity Monsters due to her low Mana. I selected her to take charge of enemies in the last position because of her Sneak ability.

Fifth Position: Ruler of the Seas

image.png

Ruler of the Seas is also fast. With the beast’s Blast ability, no enemy in the second line is safe except those with the Reflection Shield ability.

Last Position: Phantom of the Abyss

image.png

Phantom of the Abyss is very fast. Matching its speed with its two abilities such as Flying and Dodge, Ranged and Melee Sneak attackers struggle to hit this Monster. I placed it in the last position exactly for this reason.

Battle Results

This is a short battle. It only lasted three rounds.

In terms of speed, my warriors are faster. This puts my team into an advantageous position for the privilege of first strike. Four of the other player's cards are slow except for Quora and the team’s tank, Unicorn Mustang. And besides, I have Baakjira who has the Slow ability to reduce the speed of all enemy monsters.

Round 1

Due to the combined magic attacks of Phantom of the Abyss, Djinn Oshannus, Ruler of the Seas, and River Nymph, a strong tank such as Unicorn Mustang appears defenseless. It perished in the first round after it attacked Baakjira due to the Briar Batch rule set and the Amplify ability of River Nymph.

Halfling Alchemist didn’t have the chance to attack for Coral Wraith killed him before the first round ended.

Round 2

As the second round started, Sporcerer was annihilated by the joined assaults of Phantom of the Abyss and Djinn Oshannus. Coral Wraith had Wood Nymph, the first healer in the opponent’s team as her second victim.

Quora is now the new tank and killed Baakjira. As a result of Baakjira’s death, Quora’s attacks, speed, and mana increased.

Round 3

As the third round started, Djinn Oshannus confronted a more powerful Quora this time, almost perishing with the Gladiator’s attack.

Ruler of the Seas retaliated and annihilated Goblin Psychic, the second healer with his blast ability.

Thanks to River Nymph’s Amplify ability; it worked twice, first with Unicorn Mustang and now with Quora. River Nymph sealed the victory by killing Quora, the last healer.

So that’s the story of my battle victory over three Earth Healers. This is another example that Quora Towershead even with the support of two Healers is not invincible after all.

How about you? Have you tried joining the Guild and fighting in a Brawl?

That’s pretty epic. I won a match a few days ago where the opponent had like 2-3 resurrect monsters in their team lol

Hehehe. . . Wow! That is even more difficult to beat particularly if those dying monsters have thick void armor. 😅
