Thankful to Splinterlands for Introducing Me to Hive

I am thankful to Splinterlands for introducing me to Hive. At first, I just got curious about the idea of Play2Earn. I could not believe that such a thing is possible. Having been on the stock market since 2015 and studying economics since 2009, I saw something in this Play2Earn trend, something that at first, I could not identify exactly. All I know is that I am witnessing the convergence of several fields such as finance, gaming, and technology. That to me is something revolutionary.

If there is one thing that I realized in my personal study of monetary history is that our existing system is broken and there is a need for a sound monetary system. Looking at what’s going on in the academe, the media, and both in local and geo-politics, I thought the situation is hopeless.

Learning the power of blockchain and cryptocurrency, I now see an alternative. I am thankful to Splinterlands for a new world – a world of decentralized monetary power where the idea of Hive as a compounding machine through micro-investing in layer two tokens such as Splintershards (SPS) and other Hive Engine tokens – has been opened to me.

As for Splinterlands, I enjoy playing the game. I am on it for the long term. I believe that the game has established solid tokenomics for long-term sustainability. I also believe in its DAO vision through SPS governance token.

I recognize that we are still early in this game and there are developments here and there. I wonder where will this game be three to five years from now or in the next bull market. All I know is that we are in a transition stage from the old system to the new one and GameFi is at the center of such a change.

Hive, Splinterlands, and other dApps built on Hive are providing the kind of alternative that we badly need in our time to replace the broken system that we have now. To me, this is not just simply a game. This is democratizing the monetary system through the power of blockchain and cryptocurrency. I believe that Splinterlands has a great future and I want to be part of it.
