This article reminds me of the first blockchain network I joined, the Pi Network. I felt a mixture of joy and surprise because I did not expect that this network would migrate to the Open Mainnet as soon as possible. I'm not sure if what I read on the web is the exact date, 28 June.

After I read the article, I was annoyed at the end because the information given by the writer was misleading. In the last two paragraphs, the writer mentions that Pi is trading at 40 USD and the YTD high is 120 USD. The writer does not seem to know that the Pi seen on crypto exchanges is unrelated to the Pi that is “mined” by mobile phones. Although both tokens use the same websites and whitepapers, the creators of the network have made it clear that the Pi in crypto exchanges are IOUs.

After I read the article, I visited the Group Chat I created on Facebook about the Pi Network. I created this in July 2021 and I dissolved it after 1 month because the members became too reliant on me and it was as if they were looking up to me as someone who knows all the answers that were thrown against Pi. At that time, accusations that Pi was a scam were widespread.

The group chat I created has over 100 members. Too bad I dissolved it. I hope the group chat can be a way for me to introduce Hive to them. Anyway, it already happened and can't be undone.

Now that Pi's move to the Open Mainnet is approaching, I thought I'd revisit the content I've shared in our group chat to give an overview of what this Pi Network is all about.
