Revisiting Holozing After Six Months

Time to resume writing about Holozing. The last article I published about the game was on June 4, 2024, where I shared about my decision to double down on ZING tokens despite the market slump. That was six months ago.

Admittedly, I got sidetracked by the Tap-to-Earn craze tokens of the Ton blockchain network. Reviewing my posts for the last six months shows that many of my articles were Ton-related.

I forgot the exact cause that caught my attention back to Holozing. Though I stopped writing about the game, I visit the site at least once or twice a week just to claim my rewards. Yesterday, I observed a reward that was new to me. I am talking about Holo Dust.

As I raised this question on InLeo, @rtonline shared this article. @holozing introduced Holo Dust as "new in-game material" and explained some changes in the ZING distribution rewards.

As I think of writing this post, several things come to mind. One, I am curious about the status of the game on Reddit. Second, I also want to make a directory of all my Holozing-related articles so I can easily track my progress. Third, making tables to track the profitability of my micro-investment in the game is something that I also find interesting. Lastly, I am thinking of retrieving all the posts published in the community since January 4 this year. However, as I tried to do this, I observed that only the posts for the last seven days are showing up.

Directory

I published a total of nine articles about Holozing. This is my first article published on October 27, 2023, where I talked about the start of my journey after reading the whitepaper.

Six days later, I published the second article about the liquidity pool and trading strategy.

After two days, I wrote my observation about the $ZING Richlist, a clarification on earning delegation rewards, and my perceived stability of the token's price. I was mistaken in my last observation, for I failed to take the inflation into consideration.

Nine days later, on November 13 last year, I shared a detailed three-step plan to use ZING to grow my HIVE Power (HP).

On November 22, I discussed my outreach efforts for HoloZing on Web2 platforms like Reddit, Twitter, and Publish0x. Moreover, I made two follow-up posts related to outreach efforts on December 3 and on December 8.

My last article in 2023 was published on the last day of the last month, where I emphasized my discussion about strategies for earning $ZING and my decision to join the token's liquidity pool.

Profitability

Tracking the profitability of my microinvestment on Holozing, I find the table below very useful. It is the record of my earnings from content creation.

When it comes to trading, I earned a total of 113.64 HIVE selling a total of 11,600 ZING since November 5, 2023. The last time I sold ZING was on May 12 this year at 0.0063 SWAP.HIVE. When the market price of ZING dropped to 0.00404 SWAP.HIVE, I made a call that that was the time to buy back the token. I made this call on June 4, 2024.

All in all, combining both content creation and trading, I earned a total of 187.165 HIVE since October 2023. Now that I am buying back the token, I still have a buying power of 60.094 HIVE, which is the remaining amount I earned from selling ZING since November last year. Last night, I bought a total of 5,299 ZING and still have an unexecuted sell order of 1,974 at 0.0038 SWAP.HIVE on Hive Engine.

I think I should stop here. This is my way of updating myself about what's going on in Holozing. In my next post, I will revisit the relevant articles that talk about the most recent updates.

Grace and peace!
