We have theological terms for that—anthropomorphism and anthropopatism—ascribing human traits and human emotions to God. Due to human limitation, that's how we explain our perceived changes in God. However, in reality, God does not change, for He is perfect, eternal, and all-knowing. He is outside of time and therefore not subject to the changes of temporal existence. Change would imply imperfection, lack of knowledge, or deficiency, none of which apply to God. In a world that is constantly changing, His immutable character tells us that we can trust Him despite everything, for He is not influenced by circumstances or external factors.
