I am now watching the first Profit video about Email Marketing 101. I find this exciting for this is another new learning for me. Restating the quote from the video about Email marketing, "Nothing gives you a higher ROI than proper email marketing!" Is ListNerds the exact evidence for the truthfulness of this quote?

Most of the facts about email marketing provided in the video remain relevant in 2022. Curious about the difference between 5.6 billion active email accounts in 2019 and the most recent one, I browsed the web to find the most recent update. And now for a confirmation of the 2019 data and some interesting recent developments from the above link:

  • The active email accounts worldwide are about 5.59 billion.

  • 306.4 billion emails were sent and received every day in 2020.

  • An average office worker receives 121 emails per day. Some of these emails are spam and so an employee is expected to respond to only 40 of them.

  • Over 90% of adults in the US use email.

  • It is expected that the number of email users in the US will increase by 6 million a year.

  • Globally, the number of email users will increase by 100 million a year.

  • 85% of users check their emails on their mobile phones.
