The month of August has been the most unproductive month for me in terms of my Hive activity and the growth of my HIVE Power (HP)since March 2022, the month I realized the presence and potential of layer two tokens opening an opportunity for micro-investment and micro-earnings as well as the month that I first participated in HIVE Power Up Day (HPUD).

As you can see in the chart below, the increase in my HIVE power for the month of August is just 4.82%. The only reason for such growth is because I purchased $HIVE twice this month during our pay day. I think I bought a total of 5,000.00 PHP worth of HIVE. Of course, not all of them have been powered up. I used a big number of them in increasing the quantity of selected Hive Engine tokens such as $SPORTS and $WOO.

A minute ago, I powered up 17 $HIVE. Total HIVE Power is 2,870. 130 more and I will hit the 3,000 mark. Still a long way to reach the Dolphin status. God willing, 2024 would be the year to realize that goal.

Low Output in Terms of Content Creation

The good thing with a blockchain network like Hive is that you can look back and review your previous performance to gain a perspective and hoping that such an insight instead of driving you into inactivity will motivate you to improve your current performance. As I checked the articles I published for the month of August, I only did four that received a total of 42.84 $HIVE. Divide that into two and that would be 21.42 $HIVE added to my account by way of content creation rewards. That's very small compared to earlier months.

Despite my busy schedule, though I cannot publish articles and upload videos, I still continue my curation activity and that somehow contributes a small amount of $HIVE to the growth of my HP.

Struggling with my Ph. D. Program

As of now, my priorities are my work as the Business Manager of our school, my research papers as a Ph. D. student, my Hive activity, and lastly, my teaching task. These are the four tasks that eat my time.

As soon as I enter the Business Office, the flow of transactions throughout the day appears that it will not give you time to take a rest. My son is very helpful. I am asking him to create a system to automate things such as the payroll of the part-time teachers.

As for my research papers, I am still not done with the requirements the last semester and three more are added this semester. Woah! 😆🤣😌 That requires a lot of time. I need at least a month to complete one paper. I think I can do two by the end of November.

Hive Activity

As for my Hive activity, I still play Splinterlands and the Brawl, do upvotes on threads, curate on both the $SPORTS and the $CENT tribes using my wife and my son's account respectively, and prioritizing the growth of $SPORTS token to reach 50 million. So far, I now have 10M $SPORTS delegated to @arlenec2021. 40M more to go. Once I achieve such a goal, I am thinking of using the $SPORTS I earn from curation reward to grow @arlenec2021's HP.

As for curating content on the Cent tribe, I already delegated 40,000 plus $CENT to @kopiko-blanca. The new goal is 100,000. Once I achieve that, same idea as the $SPORTS token, I will also use the $CENT tokens that I received from curation to grow the $HIVE Power of @kopiko-blanca.

Conclusion

Despite the negative tone of this post due to my decreased activity for the whole month in terms of content creation, I am still positive in my overall outlook. I have to accept the kind of situation I am in and regardless the challenges, I am still determined to reach that Dolphin status.
