I have been evaluating my activities on Hive for the last two days.

Splinterlands

The first on my list, of course, is Splinterlands. I observe that my son and I are now delayed regarding our monthly DEC contributions to our guild. I need to pay 1,500 DEC and my son 1,870 DEC to update our contributions. These days, I struggle to keep up with our contributions due to other concerns, such as the search for the fund for house renovation and the challenge to level up our Splinterlands' accounts.

I love the new development on Splinterlands related to the campaign. Through this development, I was able to revive the accounts of my wife and my youngest son. By participating in the campaign, we were able to receive foundation cards for free. I admire the interactive improvement of the game. I completed all twelve chapters in Book 1 about Waur Medge Academy, including winning over Thayko, which to me is the most difficult battle in the book. I am excited about what Book 2 will unfold. After completing the book, I was able to receive both free archons and units to participate in the Modern Ranked battles, where only Conclave Arcana and Rebellion sets are allowed. A week ago, I tested the Wild format and paid 2,000 DEC. After the test, I decided to limit my play in Brawls. I could not participate in the modern format, for my cards are mostly from the Chaos Legion set. However, with the introduction of the campaign, I can now play in the modern format as well as my family's accounts.

@kopiko-blanca has the strongest account among us when it comes to the modern format. He managed to upgrade three of his archons up to level two and added a few strategic cards in the death splinters.

With new archons like Barthalamas, Marlai, Aurelia, Incessant Sage, Reklah, and Thalgrimore, our family's accounts can now participate again in the modern ranked battles. This, to me, is the best recent development in the game that I've seen so far in the past few days.

ARCHON

After more or less four years of testing the Hive Engine tokens, I decided to retain a few and discard others. I am thinking of opportunity cost. I could not spread my capital too thin. Just recently, I dropped WAIVIO from my list due to a lack of community support. In its place, I am now thinking of testing ARCHON. After checking the rich list and seeing familiar names like @ecoinstant and @beststart, I decided to buy 54 ARCHON last night. My immediate goal is to stake 540. With the current market price of the token, that's around $3.35, a very small amount. The mid-term goal is to reach 5,400 ARCHON power. As I tested last night, such power has 0.347 ARCHON vote value or 0.01 HIVE.

The price of the token is impressive. Compared to other Hive Engine tokens, ARCHON is expensive. Its current market price is 0.0297 HIVE on the bid side. To check its profitability, I compared it with both BEE and POB. I made 165 worth of HIVE as the benchmark. Comparing both ARCHON and BEE is easy, for these two tokens have their front ends where you can see the exact value of your vote depending on the amount of your stake. Nevertheless, comparing ARCHON with POB is challenging because the token's website is no longer active. The good thing is that my wife's account focuses on POB stakes, and so that's the only way I can compare the two tokens. My tentative conclusion is that staking both BEE and POB is more profitable than staking ARCHON. Nonetheless, for the sake of variation and the use of an additional tag in my post, I consider adding ARCHON for now a strategic move.
