Behind the Scenes on Hive

(Edited)

October 29 last year was the last time my son submitted an entry to his blog. His blog has been idle for more than two months now. The last post I published on his blog was about his Hive journey from zero to $243 after seven months of Hive Engine tokens activity.

This time, I want to pick up where I left off in my notes. Except for devotional reflection, I am now using my record book as my guide in writing posts. The last post I published using my notes is about my experience participating in the Splinterlands campaign to promote the Conclave Arcana and Rebellion sets, as well as the new Hive Engine token I am testing now. Shifting My Focus to Curation Activity

Even though there are days that I have been inactive in the blogging side of Hive, I remain active in the financial and gaming aspects of Hive. What I mean by the financial aspect includes Hive Engine token activity, staking of layer two tokens, and providing liquidity to pools. These activities, to me, are more reliable than the content creation side of Hive. You have more control over the first activity than the second activity. Curating content is more predictable for me than relying on someone's upvote. For the latter to materialize, I realize that you must have an active community here on Hive that knows you personally. The only exception to this is Hiveians that somehow you are able to connect with for some reason, sharing common interests. I can identify at least 10 Hiveians that I am able to relate to after more or less four years on Hive.

HP Delegation Goals

As for my HP delegation goal, reaching 10,000 isn't easy. Once I achieve that goal, I intend to assist my family's accounts to reach at least the Minnow status. In that case, we can provide mutual support.

The students I onboarded here on Hive via Tentmaker's Hive still, for some reason, haven't seen yet the potential of the platform for micro-earnings. For a few, Hive is child's play. However, for many, what's basic for a few of us is still very complicated for them to understand.

The reason why I want my students to be onboarded here on Hive is for them to have an initial experience with the character of a decentralized platform, as well as create a community that focuses on increasing HIVE power. In order to achieve this end, I even pay for the creation of their accounts as well as delegate a small quantity of HP for them to test and explore our decentralized platform.

Moreover, among the five layer two projects on Hive I support, @ zingtoken receives my highest HP delegation. My goal is to reach 100,000 ZING tokens. Once I achieve that number, that's the time to undelegate the 800 HP, and I am thinking of transferring 200 HP to @leo.voter, 100 HP to @cryptocompany, 100 HP to @wrestorgonline, and another 100 HP to @splinterboost. As for the remaining 300 HP, I will just return them to my personal HP to boost my voting power.

Visiting the Witnesses and DHF Proposals I Supported

Even though I don't know how my support for witnesses and DHF proposals works, I visited and evaluated them. I remember one time reading an article here on Hive making such a suggestion to revisit from time to time the validators and the DHF proposals you support, if they are really adding value to the chain. After more or less four years, I am now relatively familiar with some of the big names here on Hive. I maintain my support for those whose services I have been using and, for one reason or another, have attempted to reach out to. So far, I am now supporting 18 witnesses and 7 DHF proposals.

That's all for now. These are the ideas I noted in my record book two days ago.

Grace and peace!

I would recommend to remove the delegation from splinterboost, it upvotes blindly and some people downvote the abusers who abuse the tag, so you lose delegation rewards... Since you already delegate to zingtoken If you want to delegate HP I would suggest projects like @ocdb @ecency @curangel

Thanks for your warning and suggestion. I tried ocdb once.

Content creation is !INDEED time-consuming, so spending more time for determining great posts to curate and Hive projects to delegate Hive Power for is worth it for many people (like you) especially if they have enough Hive Power to see substantial earnings (and support more people and projects that they love). 🧘‍♂️🤓
