A Battle Story Against a Team with Two Resurrection Power Plus a Tank Healer

A month ago, I shared a battle story about winning over three healers. That's not an easy brawl to win.

This time, I faced a tougher team with two members possessing a resurrection power plus a tank healer.

This is a 58 mana cap fight and the ruleset is Armored Up. This means that "all Monsters will have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat." Whenever I see such a rule, the first warrior that comes to mind is a neutral one, Legionnaire Alvar.

Legionnaire Alvar is my chosen warrior due to its high Void Armor ability. This ability makes the magic attacks hit the Armor first before the Monster's Health. You would see therefore that the Armor of this warrior is an extension of his Health. Matched with a team member that has a Resurrect power would make Legionnaire Alvar almost an invincible tank.

To my surprise, the other player has two cards in his team with Resurrect power plus a Tank Healer.

In this Battle Story, I want to share the strength and weaknesses of the other player that despite that he has two warriors with Resurrect power and a Tank Healer, he still lost the game.

Tank: Legionnaire Alvar

I already explained above the reason why I selected this warrior as my Tank.

Second Position: Djinn Oshannus

I positioned a level 3 Djinn Oshannus in second place due to its three abilities:

  • Void - this reduces damage from Magic attacks.

  • Phase - this causes Magic attackers to miss him.

  • Forcefield - this causes him to receive only 1 attack from enemies that have 5 attacks and up.

Moreover, I placed this water monster in the second position because I find him strong against Snipers and enemy monsters with Blast ability.

Third Position: Ruler of the Seas

I took this monster for granted for so long. I only learned of its powerful potential after suffering defeat in a Brawl despite that I formed a powerful team. Since then, before participating in a Brawl, I always make sure that Ruler of the Seas is on my team.

In this particular battle, having a level 3 Ruler of the Seas gave me a huge advantage over the other player. At level three, this powerful water monster has the following abilities:

  • Blast - this gives him the ability to cause additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster.

  • Swiftness - all friendly monsters will receive an additional Speed.

  • Silence - this reduces the Magic Attack of all enemy Monsters. I think this ability has given me an edge even before the start of the Battle that determines its outcome.

Fourth Position: Axemaster

I used a level 3 Axemaster in this fight. However, since the other player is using Quix the Devious as his Summoner, that additional Ranged Attack has been invalidated.

Last Position: Phantom of the Abyss

Due to the Speed of this Monster, both Ranged and Melee enemies find it difficult to hit him. He is only vulnerable against a Magic Attack.

Battle Results

Battle Results.png

This is an average battle. This lasts seven rounds.

Round 1

In terms of Speed, the other player gains the upper hand. Nevertheless, since all his monsters are Magic attackers, the Silence ability of my level 3 Ruler of the Seas worked to my great advantage.

Round 2

Round 1 looks like an even fight. But as the second round progresses, the other player's Agor Longtail perished but is resurrected by River Hellondale. It died again the second time close to the end of the second round and this time it was raised to life by Oshuur Constantia.

Round 3

My tank, Legionnaire Alvar died for the first time as the third round started. He was killed by the Phantom of the Abyss. The Resurrect power of River Hellondale brought him back to life. For the third time, Axemaster killed Agor Longtail. This time, the Resurrect power of the other team has already been exhausted.

Round 4

The fourth is where my tank has finally been taken down and it was replaced by Djinn Oshannus. Since the three Magic Monsters of the enemy team have only one Magic attack left, their power could not damage Djinn Oshannus due to his Void ability.

Round 5

Both Djinn Oshannus and Phantom of the Abyss were removed from the fight in the fight round.

Round 6

As the 6th round started, my Phantom of the Abyss annihilated the Ruler of the Seas of the other player followed by River Hellondale.

Round 7

The only enemy left in the last round was Oshur Constantia. Phantom of the Abyss sealed the victory for my team by killing it.

That’s how my Battle Story against a team with two Resurrect power and a Tank Healer ended.

How about you? Have you tried a Monster with a Resurrect power? How's your experience using it?

Thanks for your time and attention.
