UPGRADING MY EDUCATION

Education they say is the key to achieving great things in life.

Though not entirely the only key to achieve greatness, it has proven itself as a vital necessity of life.

Different people have different level of education, ranging from literacy to illiteracy. Being a literate does not make one bigger, more intellectually balanced or have more IQ than an illiterate. Some of the literates tend to see themselves as god's when talking to illiterates.

The fact that a person does no have a good educational background does not mean that they are below anyone. Some of these people tend to make it big in life compared to the so called literates.

I am one of the many that is opportune to be in school and I am grateful to my parents for that.

Though not very intelligent, neither I'm I financially buoyant, like a piercing bullet, I have passed through many obstacles in my journey of acquiring some certificates.

THE LEVEL OF MY EDUCATION

I am still an upcoming student who wishes to explore far and wide in other to get knowledge related to my field of study and above.

I started as a child who was taught how to pronounce ABCD and then I migrated to learning basic science then to learning chemistry, then anatomy, primary health care and now Margaret Myles text book for midwives.

Currently, I have a degree in nursing and I'm chasing midwifery, I am a certified humanitarian and I am also a certified reproductive health provider.

Though I have not gotten to the heights I desire, I hope to reach these heights in no time.

IS THERE A NEED TO FURTHER?

Yes, there sure is a need to further my education.

There are lots of things I don't know yet and will love to know.

I don't want to stop at degree because a thousand degrees can never make a BSc. However I want to further to get my BSc certificate and still get my PhD.

I know that furthering my studies will require lots of works, as well as lots of sacrifices and I am willing to do it.

I plan on furthering in nursing. I have tasted midwifery and I have also tasted nursing, however, I want my nursing skills to be polished to its max. I want to continue with nursing and leave midwifery at the degree stage.

HOW FURTHERING IN NURSING HELP ME IN MY CHOSEN CAREER

From day 1, nursing is what I chose to do. Just that due to some things I saw in my community, I had to do midwifery in other to make a difference.

I have almost accomplished the reasons behind my Midwifery journey and I think it's time to focus on my main career which is nursing.

Nursing is my career and furthering to get a BSc will make me be trusted enough to handle problems that i am currently not trusted to handle.

In terms of the financial aspect, I will be able to earn more with BSc than Degree.

WHAT DIFFERENCE WILL NOT FURTHERING MY EDUCATION MAKE?

If don't further, it will make a very big difference.

One thing about literates is that they compete within themselves. it's like a ladder, everyone wants to get to the top.

There is a hierarchy in nursing and this hierarchy is not to be played with.

The certificate a nurse acquired is the determination of his or her position in the hospital. A degree holder can not be a matron of a hospital. Nope.

If I don't further,I will not be able to achieve greater heights in my career and it will make me be stagnant which I don't want. I can't be a bird in the cage, not when my wings are still intact.

If I don't further, many things will go wrong in my life and I will not be able to speak when people who furthered are speaking.
