Hello everyone and welcome to my post.

It's a nother Sunday and I would love to share with everyone the process I used to achieve a delicious okra soup.

Okra soup is a Nigerian dish which can be used to eat any thing like eba, wheat, semovita, tuwo, Amala, e.t.c

THE PROCESS

First off, I gathered all i needed and these includes:

  • Fresh okra
  • Fresh and Grinded dry pepper
  • Fresh fish
  • Ugwu leaves
  • Palm oil
  • Onion
  • Maggi and
  • Salt

After slicing the okra, grinding the fresh pepper and boiling the ice fish with maggi, salt and some of the grinded fresh pepper, I did the following:

  • Put a dry pot on fire and added the palm oil

  • Fried the sliced onion and pepper

  • Waited for some time then added the okra to the boiling oil containing the onion and pepper

  • Stirred very well

  • Added the fish water and allowed to cook with the wish water until it got dried

  • Added plain water to the desired extent, then I added the maggi, salt, and dried grinded pepper

  • Allowed to boil for some time

  • Added the fresh fish and allow to boil

  • Do not cover the pot because the okra will loose it's slimy characteristics. The only time to cover is when the soup gets cold.

  • after some minutes of boiling, add the vegetable that is, the ugwu leaves

  • Stir gently and allow to boil

  • After a few minutes of boiling, bring soup down from fire.

These are the simple steps I took in other to make this soup.

After the process of making the soup, I decided to prepare eba.

I boiled hot water, turn in a bowl and added my garri then stirred till it became thick.

I immediately started thinking of a design on my eba afterwards and this design came to mind. 👇

Here is a more classy picture 👇

I think I need to go learn food photography

After designing the eba, I served with he soup.

Thank you for stopping by, I really appreciate your presence here and I hope to see you next time on my blog. Have a nice day ahead and stay safe.

I think I have never tasted this dish. But, at the same time I am scratching my head because it's looking like sweet halwa which we eat here.

The dish is really nice and sweet.

Maybe you should go to an African restaurant and give it a try
