Inside Nigeria

Nigeria is a beautiful country which is greatly and abundantly blessed with natural resources, beautiful landscapes and beautiful natural views.

No doubt, Nigeria is not only beautiful, and blessed, it is filled with great and influential people too.

Ever since our colonial masters accomplished their goal in 1960, the people of Nigeria developed different irresponsible attributes that have constantly put the country and it's citizens in huge danger. Currently, we see things like corruption, (with Nigeria being among the first five most corrupt countries in the world), envy, jealousy as well as embezzlement of public funds by the political leaders.

There is no doubt that we the citizens have historically been at the verge of annihilation by our political leaders and the same leaders are equally the cause of the major problems we were having.

Nigeria and it's people, being as strong as they can be has proven to the world to be unshakable irrespective of any factor. During the slave trade, Nigeria too was affected but we conquered and became free. But in Nigeria, freedom is not free. We are living with fear of the unknown, we are living with high alertness to expect anything at any given time.

Ever since the swearing in of Sir Muhammad Buhari, Nigeria became a country filled with all kinds of corruption, the price of fuel raised significantly as well as the nairs to dollar exchange rate. Before sir Buhari can to power, things were very much better and we could get things at a very cheaper rate. An egg was sold at her rate of N50 which is equals 0.25 hive (given the price of hive is 200) but after Buhari, it rose to N100 and currently is at N150.

The end sars protest came up when citizens embarked on a peaceful protest against sars but the response of our political leader was give the forces an order to kill innocent civilians in Lekki Lagos state. Lots of parents lost their children and many parents died too on that faithful or should I say: Black day. That day has gone down the history of Nigeria and is sadly mourned every year.

Lately, before our last presidential election, Nigeria lost cash throughout and we the citizens was forced to buy our money in a very high rate. Imaging having a thousand hive and you had to pay 400 hive before getting access to your hard earned hive? Well it happened in Nigeria and this lasted for roughly two months. I personally had to do bank transfer of everything I bought even though it's worth N10.

It got to a point where the citizens could not take it again and they had to break through the gates of banks so they could enter inside and get their money.

Now, the same person that ordered the killing of those youths in Lekki Lagos state, was recently announced as winning the presidential election.. funny yeah? Yes. He was announced against the protest of Nigerians. Who would dare protest? When those that protested were killed. The election was rigged and the inec chairman was nowhere to be found. He called the results in the night and during the morning, we couldn't find him. It was evident that Sir Peter Obi who was president Bola Tinubu's opponent won the election but due to the rigging and everything, he was denied the position.

Immediately President Bola Tinubu entered the seat, the price of fuel raised from N250 to N550 and the naira-dollar price raised to roughly N800/dollar.

Things are happening in Nigeria and to be honest, it is affecting greatly the entire country as a whole.

Thank you for reading through,I hope to see you next time.

It appears as though things only get worse by the day in Nigeria. With every new regime comes new set of problems that take a heavy toll on her citizens. The government isn't transparent and there's not exactly a there else to run to easily.

Someday, maybe, we could get redemption for Nigeria and the sun would shine over her again.

Thank you for sharing.

The lack of transparency is literally the most annoying part.
