Working remotely – 100% remotely, not within the country
I decided to tell you about my remote work.
Since June 2022 I have been able to work remotely, after moving to Italy. I was lucky enough to find two jobs, and both of them are 100% remote. What I mean by 100% remote, is that you see these remote job postings and they are actually not remote. They are remote WITHIN the country, for example in Greece. So it means you have to move to Greece, to be able to work remotely there, although you can stay anywhere within the country borders. Of course, there is nothing wrong with that, but that is not what I needed and wanted, since I was in Italy.
The best part of my remote jobs was, that I found them both through LinkedIn after a lot of searching and, after what I call “training the algorithm” to find me the best remote opportunities. Honestly, looking for a suitable job took at least 6 months, but there was also a lot of luck involved.
