I do agree and rather than having to reply to each messages which is purely concerns from the community, they should consider an AMA to address the queries they are getting and to inform the community of any updates and potential changes if any.

Agree,complete silence isn't the way and does come across as rude. Considering majority of those messaging are the Whales and OGs of the project.
