Hello everyone!

These beautiful photos are from Matthias Church, located in the Castle District of Budapest, near the Fisherman's Bastion.

Besides the visual beauty and the incredible decoration, the church has also a huge historical value, as it has been the coronation stage of several Hungarian Kings. The guide who accompanied our visit also said that the place has already witnessed a miracle: when the church walls were destroyed during a siege of the city, an unknown statue of Virgin Mary was revealed!

The whole complex of the Castle District is wonderful, and in a future post I will share photos of the Fisherman's Bastion! My wife and I had a great afternoon exploring the whole area, and we ended the day having a great ice cream at the "Cafe Terrace"!

Bom dia, Galera!

Essas lindas fotos são da Igrejas Matthias, localizada no Distrito do Castelo de Budapest, próximo ao Bastião dos Pescadores.

Além da beleza visual e da riqueza na decoração, a Igreja tem um valor histórico belíssimo, já tendo sido o palco de coroação de vários reis da Hungria. O guia que acompanhou nossa visita também disse que o local já presenciou um milagre: quando as paredes da Igreja foram destruídas durante um cerco à cidade, foi revelada uma estátua desconhecida de Nossa Senhora!

Todo o complexo do Distrito do Castelo de Budapest é maravilhoso, e numa próxima postagem irei compartilhar fotos do próprio Bastião dos Pescadores! Eu e minha esposa tivemos uma ótima tarde conhecendo toda a região, e terminamos o dia tomando um ótimo sorvete no "Cafe Terrace"!

Budapest is an incredible city, and I recommend to anyone the same trip itinerary that me and my wife did: Budapest => Vienna => Prague => Krakow. All of them are 10/10 :D
