[ENG / PT-BR] Belvedere Palace - Vienna (Austria)
ENGLISH (ENG)
Hello everyone!
The Belvedere is an historic complex in Vienna that houses two different palaces: the Lower Belvedere, a smaller, simpler building that is currently used for temporary exhibitions; and the Upper Belvedere, an incredibly beautiful Barroque palace that's currently an Art Museum with hundreds of paintings.
There are lots of famous painters being exhibited in the museum, including Renoir, van Gogh and Monet. But the most-coveted painting of the Belvedere is The Kiss (Der Kuss), by Gustav Klimt: it is considered the most famous Austrian painting! Unfortunately, my photos of The Kiss weren't good as the room was full of people; so I'll just share some pictures of the Palace itself, with its stunning architecture and gardens!
See you next time!

Bom dia, Galera!

I'm glad you liked it :D It's, indeed, a very romantic place to be!
Does anything in Vienna not look like a palace?
I may be suspect to talk about this subject... but, without any doubt, the most wonderful city that I've ever visited is Vienna. Not only everything is incredibly pretty (like the palaces, the historic buildings, etc): the city is very well organized, it's clean, the public services (buses, subway, etc) works perfectly, people is very well-educated. I loved everything about it, and if I could chose any city in the world to live, I would go to Vienna.
Beautiful pictures, so elegant. Wow! Thank you for sharing your experience, I love it ❤️🤗
I'm glad that you liked!! I loved visiting Vienna and I have hundreds of great photos of the city; I'll be posting them here on Liketu in the near future :D
Amazing, looking forward to seeing more😎
You have some nice shots here! 🙂
Regarding Gustav Klimt's painting opus with which Austrians like to brag about (including "The Kiss" that became most famous after they lost the "Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I," also called "The Lady in Gold" or "The Woman in Gold"), I'm always wondering who is the actual owner of all of them.
"Woman in Gold" is a very nice and interesting movie based on a true story that describes quite well how a big portion of Klimt's opus ended up in Austrian possession, although primarily telling the story of the Klimt's "Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I". The leading roles are played by Helen Miren (as Maria Altmann, the niece of portrayed Adele Bloch-Bauer I - on Klimt's painting "The Lady in Gold") and Ryan Reynolds (as Randy Schoenberg, Maria Altmann's lawyer).
If you didn't watch this movie yet, take a look, I think you might like it.
I'm glad that you like the pictures!
I never watched the Woman in Gold, but I remember that, when the movie released, it was well received by the critics. I'm adding it on my HBO Max to-watch list right now!

Hello! Thanks for the curation and the support!
I do know about PoB and VyB; the Brazilian community is very strong on both of them! I'm trying to get used to other front-ends (when I came to Hive, I started using Ecency and it just feels natural to me now), and I've already used POB to do some posts a while ago!
Thank you very much! That is good to know :)
Nice post, my friend @luizeba
Those places are very bigger and more beautiful.
Excellent photography.
