Judging Period Week 3: MemeHive Theme Curation Contest

Today is April 27, the scheduled judging period for the MemeHive Theme Curation Contest announced a week ago.

Using the Meme Tribe Community on PeakD, I only saw seven articles published from April 22 to 26. Two came from @mintymile, one from @linda2021, three from @greywarden100, and one from @memehive himself. Strictly speaking, @linda2021's article cannot be classified as a meme post. It is serious content and requires time and contemplation to digest her message. Since @greywarden100 and @memehive are not included in the contest, we only have @mintymile's posts as the only entries for this week.

Turning to the MemeHive frontend, I realized that this is the main platform used by Hivians in publishing diverse types of content using the hashtag #meme. I counted all the posts, and I arrived at 334 in total. As for the number of communities, I observed some duplicates, and others perhaps are mislabeled. I have no time to check the accuracy. So far, I counted around 65 tribes publishing content appearing on the MemeHive frontend: ecency, Hive Pizza, DaGamers, Political Hive, Actifit, Afri-tunes, LOLZ Fun House, Street Art, Someeofficial, Photography Lovers, AI Art, We Are Alive Tribe, DBuzz, Memes, Solana, Pepe, Woo Game, Politics, Cent, Free Compliments, LeoFinance, Abundance Tribe, Vibes, Hive Open Mic, Hive Gaming, Music, Alive and Thriving, Splinterlands, Photo Feed, SportsTalk, Shadow Hunters, Scifi Multiverse, Deutsch, DPoll, Blog, QC Community, Life N Thoughts, Proof of Brain, MemeHub, Bitcoin, Downvotes, Silver Bloggers, Blurt, Trump, Crimea, Hive Food, BokiPW, China, The Chess Community, StemGeeks, Bee, Clean Planet, Philippines, CorruptFederalJudge, Paper in My Pocket, Hive Learners, Olio De Balena, Park, BeeSwap, Beer, MartinV United Snakes, SpendHBD, and Ladies of Hive.

Most entries came from the Actifit tribe, and even a few members of the Splinterlands community used our hashtag. And so is the precious metal tribe, such as the Silver Bloggers. Most unusual names include Scifi Multiverse, CorruptFederalJudge, and MartinVUnitedSnakes. I am not sure if these are really tribes on Hive or just a hashtag.

I find it interesting knowing the diversity of tribes using the meme tag. At least, in choosing entries, I will not be restricted by the Meme Tribe Community on PeakD.

Just like what happened last week, there are Hivians who published more than one article that are eligible. In such a case, I will just choose the better article for the entry.

As for @ieronimus' post, even though the format needs improvement and it was published on AI Art, I found the 2.16-minute music created by a neural network very inspiring. The theme is crypto-related, and the tune and lyrics are really good and very emotional. Again, here's where the subjective element in selection comes in. Check it and try listening to the music. It might have the same impact just as it did on me.

Two more observations before mentioning the qualified articles. Many posts that used the hashtag meme are quite serious. They are good content. They just don't pass the humor test.

Moreover, the second and last observation is that by using the MemeHive frontend in my search for entries, I discovered interesting projects such as the HBD marketing business and the PEPT Sovereign Wealth Fund. You can check these Hive projects if you are curious what they are all about.

Now that everything is clear, below are the meme posts that qualify for the contest:

Compared to the last two weeks, there are more qualified and good entries this week. However, I could not include them all in the above list to prevent false expectations.
