Peugeot 205 T16
To homologate the 205 Group B rally car in 1984, Peugeot produced 200 road going versions based upon the standard production three-door hatch back. Heuliez modified the bodywork with a completely new engineered rear end to accommodate a mid-mounted turbo-charged DOHC 4-cyl 1775cc (200hp) engine with a 5-speed manual transmission and AWD.
Simca/Talbot prepared cars with front & rear tube-frames carrying the suspension and drive-train.
The chassis and engine would also be used the Quasar concept car in the same year.
