In general the West (US and Western Europe) is so comfortable and we do not understand what it is like to be under Russian control. I was recently in Estonia and the realities of Russian occupation are so fresh in their minds, they are so thankful for NATO and the protection it gives. During our tour of Tallinn a Eurofighter flew overhead and the guide pointed up and simply said ‘the sound of freedom’. The West needs to accept it does not know best when dealing with Russia and take its lead from Eastern Europe.
