I love the fact that your concern is focused on newbies. Most newbies don't have mentors, when they come to the platform, you see them struggling to get things done and as such they end up breaking rules. I wish they could be a system where the dos and donts of the chain would be boldly stated out for all to see especially newbies. Thanks God for newbie Initiative, I also missed it. I was not opportune to take part and I am seriously biting my fingers for that. It is a very good one for every beginner.

The issue of plagiarism, is something that I expect everyone to know that it is being frowned upon by almost all blogging platforms. It doesn't look nice to just go and pick something that someone has done without making reference to the person. It's wrong, our normal sense should teach us that. How would you feel as an author when someone picks your work and make claims of it? The end of every punishment is to make us realize our mistake and take correction. Falling into the hands of hive watchers is not a dead sentence, I know how strict they are but they are here to correct us and make the platform fair. Sorry for your experience as a newbie. It's not easy but I am glad you didn't allow your experience make you quit.

I think the way out to this is for newbies to make thorough research about hive including it's rule before they venture into posting anything
