When the beer challenge finds you far from the brewery
My new beer friend @zekepickleman invited me to take part in this week's #BeerSaturday competition.
This week for #BeerSaturday, I am inviting new friend @duskobgd who blogs about #beer consistently and would be great joining us on #beersaturday! Take a few pictures, tag #beersaturday and raise a glass with us on Hive!
I have no choice but to do the same as him, as he wrote in his post https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@zekepickleman/beersaturday-short-circuited-juiced-af
I open my fridge, which looks like a mosaic of regional craft beers, and select one to introduce to the burgeoning community of craft beer lovers.
The decision was made and the choice fell on two bottles of "Inat" brewery , located near Belgrade.
Do you know what "Inat" is? Spite...
I thought I'd only take a picture of one bottle of beer, but I'll drink another bottle because of "Inat" 😀.
Inat brewery is located on Rucka hill above the town of Umka, near Belgrade with a view down the Sava river.
Inat has been producing beer since 2017.
They started the first steps of production with Inat Lager and Inat IPA beer, and two years after these two beers, they started expanding production and made Inat black and Inat wheat beer.
For this #BeerSaturday challenge week 354. as a response to @zekepickleman invitation, I will introduce you Inat Lager (their debut) and Inat black beer.
Phenomenal label design, with a picture of a donkey, which is considered a stubborn animal, and the one who does something out of spite, is usually stubborn.
Inat Lager Beer, was born from the idea of a traditional Bavarian recipe. It is made from carefully selected types of hops and top quality water. Beer connoisseurs know that quality water is the basis of every quality beer. Inat lager has a rich, thick foam that lingers for a long time. One sip of Inat Lager is enough to feel the pleasure as if you were in the middle of the famous Oktoberfest.
Inat Lager is served chilled, at a temperature of 5 to 9 °C.
Contains 4.7% alcohol.
For those who like classic beer, this Lager is a hit!
Inat black is created by combining eight types of malt and two types of hops. It is well balanced with a aroma of coffee and the mild chocolate.
It has a thick caramel-colored foam, which is the best of this beer in my opinion.
Contains 4.2% alcohol.
It is served at a temperature of 7-12 °C.
Normally I wouldn't mix a lager and a dark beer in a row, but what a challenge it would be if I didn't go out of my comfort zone (one beer for the evening).
I drank two beers because of "Inat" and I have to admit that my favorite is Inat Lager.
The black beer seemed watered down to me, it is not similar to the black beers I have had the opportunity to consume so far.
Dear @zekepickleman, thank you for the invitation.
Cheers!
Thank you for stopping by my post and I hope you enjoyed the photos and the story I shared with you

Wow, your fridge is better stocked than many supermarkets :)) Do you still have some space for groceries in theer? :)
Don't ask 😀
My wife bought some young cheese a few days ago, and I and my beers almost got hurt, when she didn't have spacw in the refrigerator to pack the box 🤣
Well, there's the easiest solution ever: "Ljubavi moja, let's do some beer&cheese pairing!" ;)
Some brews really fit various kinds of cheeses, even the soft ones ;)
Unfortunately, she is not a fan of beer, so such an option would further worsen the negotiations 🙂
She is more for wine...
What cheese do you recommend, with what style of beer?
I am not an expert in that field - Czech cheeses are rather puny, and when we encounter a great cheese in Spain, there's hardly a craft brewery around :))
However, I'd advise to treat your wife some nice coffee/chocolate stouts to open her eyes for the magic of beers. And than there's quito obvious (to me) Bohemian lager + Camambert style cheese pairing. Or you can get inspired by online pundits, here for instance: https://www.craftbeer.com/beer-and-food/pairing-beer-and-cheese-10-styles
Wow, the Inat Black looks beautiful!
Average beer, with an interesting label. Donkey 🙂
Those beers look tasty.
Lager yes, but dark no, at least not to my taste.
