Quote or proverb

From Friday, when @ecency-star
announced what are the topics for this week's writing-contest, I'm going through my head which favorite quote to cite, which area to mention in my story.
And then today, at work, a situation happened that changed my writing plan.
When I came to work, I planned a quiet day, without a lot of crowds. Last week was very crowded and I would like this one to be a little more relaxed.
My idea was to finish some of the tasks left over from last week and to take care of today's obligations.
However, then an actor enters the stage who changes my plan...

As if running away from the devil, my colleague runs into the office and reports a big piece of shit. Outage of mobile internet cards on a large number of devices... and so, my plan for a quiet working day, goes to hell...

Can you guess which saying I am going to write about?

I read a few years ago a phenomenal book, "Zamalek", which writes about an antique shop in the heart of Cairo, but also about human destiny "Kismet".
In the book, I come across a saying

"Man plans, and God laughs"

which the writer presents as an old Egyptian proverb, although later I saw that the ancient Jews also used the same(Mann Tracht, Un Gott Lacht), and indirectly, all the rest of the religious world, who believe in God.

How many times has it happened that you planned something in detail, but for some reason it didn't come true?
Going out to socialize, going on a trip, meeting some new friends, girlfriends, boyfriends, choosing a school, university, choosing a spouse, choosing a house or apartment to live in, choosing a job, even choosing a bank for a loan...

Planned, started with implementation , but something came up that thwarted that plan.
They say it wasn't meant to be...
They say it wasn't possible...
God didn't want it (his will wasn't fulfilled).
As the author writes in "Zamalek", the Egyptians invoke God's help for everything they do, even the most ordinary daily activities, with a short "Inshallah" - if God will...
Because if God doesn't give, all our plans are in vain.
If it is not destined, God just laughs and cancels everything that was the will of one man...
I'm heading home from work, I look up at the sky and I think I see a smiley face. That's it... 🙂
