Monomad: People as sculptures
Walking through the streets of Zemun, I come across the dilapidated building of the air force and air defense command, badly damaged in the NATO bombing in 1999.
Like Icarus (the sculpture located on the facade of this building), this building had its peak, but after the conflict with the military power of the world, it fell into the abyss, like Icarus into the sea.
The image of the sculpture is in my head as I come home from work.
My fellow citizens are sitting on the street, on planters and stairs, lost in their thoughts, waiting or simply resting their tired legs.
Some of them remind me of another sculpture, the work of the author Auguste Rodin, which was installed in the Rodin Museum in Paris, the marble-bronze sculpture "The Thinker".
"What are these people thinking now", I ask myself as I record them with my camera for my Black and White foto challenge today...
This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.
