Mirador dels campions, Llorete del mar

Along the coast of Lloret de Mar, next to the spacious sandy beach, there is a beautiful promenade. Going out to the beginning of the promenade, you come across several boards with information about what is marked, along with several handprints built into the pavement.

Mirador dels campions

The place where the champions stand (or if someone knows Spanish better, please explain in the comments). The sponsor of the installation of this attraction is a construction company. Probably the owner of the company is a fan of rally races.

Rally de Catalunya was first held in 1957; in 1988 it was merged with the Rally Costa Brava and renamed as Rally Catalunya – Costa Brava.

There are handprints of champion drivers and their co-drivers from 1991 to 2003 on the plates.

Until 1991, from the first race, the champion's names are on a separate plate.

I will find the Champion's names from 2003 to today on the official site Rally Catalunya 🙂

Thank you for stopping by my post and I hope you enjoyed the photos and the story I shared with you

Carlos Sainz, Colin McRae, Didier Auriol and the rest...legit names there. Looks like a good spot.

I sat for an hour on a bench by the seashore, listening to the sound of the waves and searching the Internet for more information about the rally champions in this tournament.
Big names, indeed...

You know what would have made that hour better? (For me at least...)

Fish and chips!

Great choice, but, how I would tap on the smartphone screen with greasy fingers 🙂

If you have to, it's not difficult 🙂

And what do you think about this option, right next to the square where these boards with prints are located?
