La Sagrada familia
Sagrada Familia - Perhaps the most famous cathedral in Barcelona.
Known for its famous appearance, for which its creator, Antoni Gaudi, is responsible.
Gaudí was not involved in the project of building this cathedral in the Gothic style from the very beginning, but after joining the project in 1886, he fully devoted himself to it and completely changed the project, including the appearance of the cathedral.
Gaudí worked on the construction of the cathedral for 40 years, until his death in 1926.
Since then, the construction of this still unfinished cathedral has not stopped.
The plan is for its construction to be completely completed in 2028.
In 2010, after the complete completion of the interior works, the cathedral was consecrated by Pope Benedict XVI, who declared it a basilica.
The Sagrada Familia is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, which is visited by millions of tourists every year.
Although its appearance, from the outside and inside, does not resemble Christian temples, when you find yourself inside the Basilica, during a sunny day, the light with which the interior of the temple is colored will make you think that you are in paradise.
After a few hours of touring the Sagrada Familia and taking pictures from various angles, we sat in front of the church and enjoyed the warm autumn day.
We admired the exterior of the cathedral, on the facade of which there are countless sculptures, smaller and larger. it looks like one big open-air gallery.
After that, we went inside and watched the beautiful light that spilled over the walls of the temple.
The interior of the temple is so beautiful that it leaves you breathless.
The architecture, shapes and details are fantastic and I think that anyone who goes to the church could stay in it all day and admire the incredible and strange beauty that Gaudí brought to the project.
During our stay in Barcelona, we also visited the Sagrada Familia during the night, in order to take some photos after dark, but I have to admit that it still looks more impressive when it's a beautiful and sunny day.
I promised myself, if I return to Barcelona again as a tourist, to visit the Sagrada Familia again, I will set aside a whole day.
A must-see tour will also be a climbing tour of the towers and the roof of the church, which are not yet finished, so the atmosphere is not complete (you can see cranes and cranes, construction materials and craftsmen), because the work on the exterior of the temple is still ongoing.
This was my Sagrada Familia experience from the 2017 trip.
I hope you like these slightly older photos and enjoy this post.
I have to search to see if anyone has posted more recent pictures, I wonder how far they have gotten with the work on the cathedral at this point.
Thank you for sharing your incredible experience at Sagrada Familia! The photos truly capture the awe-inspiring beauty of Antoni Gaudi's masterpiece. The intricate details and play of light within the basilica are simply breathtaking. It's fascinating to see how the exterior serves as an open-air gallery with countless sculptures, each telling its own story.
You're welcome!
My visit to Baselona remained a beautiful memory. The Sagrada Familia Basilica is worthy of a multi-day tour, especially if you're into the arts. A sculptor, unlike me, would notice a million details. My "tourist eye", was looking at the bigger picture and only these words were transmitted to the brain: "Enjoy the view"😀

I hope, on the first day of the new year, I will be able to do the same or increase it to 50HP 😀
Happy Hive PUD @duskobgd 💪🐝
Thanks a lot @hivebuzz
I'm adding Hive as much as I have, it's slow, but it's making progress😀
My first minor goal is to achieve that my vote value is 0.01, so that when I vote for someone, I see a change in the amount of the post I voted on 😀
I wonder how much RC should be (how much Hive in HP stake) so that my vote value be 0.01?
