His Highness: Burek, sin in the announcement

I pass by the open door of a bakery in Subotica and the famous line from the movie "We are not angels" comes to mind, when the beautiful Julijana Vladić tries to trick the main character Nikola into cheating: "Have you ever made love on the dance floor?".
An invitation to sex, which Nikola managed to resist...

What about me?

Through the door of the bakery, I see a master baker stretching the crusts and preparing burek for baking in pans.

Coming back from a night out, slightly under the influence of alcohol from the beer I drank that evening, I am not as strong of a character as Nikola.

I can't resist the invitation of burek, for a night meal, unlike Nikola who resisted the invitation of Juliana for sex.

I enter the bakery and while I'm waiting for the saleswoman to serve me (that is, while I'm thinking about which burek to order), I watch the skillful hands of the baker who stretches out the thin crusts.

The oven in which burek is baked looks the same to me as a pizza oven. there are more levels, this one has three. and several pans are baked in them at the same time.

Although, I mentioned burek, which my neighbors from Bosnia would say "What are you thinking, you know what burek is. With meat! Everything else is pies"...

I decide on burek, but with chicken.

This time I'm skipping all the other combinations of "burek" (or pita) that exist in this bakery: lasagna burek, burek with mushrooms and cheese, burek with ham, cheese and mushrooms (the so-called pizza burek), but also variations of the sweet burek that they have in offer: burek with apple, burek with cherries and, from almost now, burek with poppy seeds.

His majesty burek, with the indispensable yogurt to enjoy in any occasion and at any time of the day (and night), found itself on the plate in front of me late at night (or should I write, early morning, anyway).

It was important to use a warm, delicious burek to reduce the effect of aklokhol a little, before going home, to sleep...
Or maybe to have another beer with company... Because with burek as a base, you can drink a lot of beer, you won't get tired so quickly get drunk...

Thank you for stopping by my post and I hope you enjoyed the photos and the story I shared with you

It is good that you were allowed to see the skills of baker. Here in our area no bakery allows us to enter their kitchen or wherever the items are baked or made.

Congratulations, you received an ecency upvote through the curator @ahmedhayat. Keep spreading love through ecency

So I brought you an exclusive here in a way😀

It was late at night, so the baker probably didn't expect anyone to walk past that door.
He opened them to cool off from the overheated oven that was baking the burek. And as for the picture behind, where you can see his work, I took that picture from the sales area through a glass wall.

Thank you for your support dear @ahmedhayat

I saw the other day that you and @edwing357 were chosen as this month's curator.
Congratulations and I wish you both the best of luck in your future work at Hive!
