A little bit of everything this weekend - rain, wind, forest, sun...

How to call the weekend that passed, but as a Mix weekend?
On Saturday, while I was writing a post for a #weekend-engagement, the topic of "Stores in my neighborhood" and went shopping with an umbrella, due to the wind that was blowing all day so that it did not occur to me to leave the house, it did not seem at all that the next day would weekends, Sundays, be different.

Oh, what a wonderful morning dawned on Sunday...
I had nothing to think about, I quickly cleaned the house and made a plan for a short walk in the hottest part of the day from 11am-3pm.

I couldn't stay out longer, I had a lunch scheduled at a restaurant, as well as an arranged arrival of guests at our house at 8 pm (this is the plan from Saturday, while I thought I would also spend Sunday indoors).
It wasn't like that.
We went for a walk in the nearby park/forest, Zvezdara.
A hundred times I drove my car along the road next to and through that forest and a hundred times I looked at the benches in the parks, but never in my life did I stop there and walk.
I have always been drawn to further destinations, not the forest that is 5 km away from my apartment.
And in the forest, a lot of paths, a lot of benches to take a break from walking, but also covered benches with tables for picnickers...

I did not know that there is a children's sports kindergarten in the very center of the forest, that there are many interesting trees with boards and descriptions of them, that there are so many birds...

While the rays of the sun broke through the branches of the trees, we enjoyed the chirping of the birds while walking.

And before the Second World War, there was no forest here.
It was the hill on which the first Serbian Astronomical Observatory was built in 1932.

We walked around the Observatory complex and took a few photos, but we couldn't go inside, to the big telescopes.
It is a scientific institute that is not open to visitors. Entrance is not allowed to the telescope due to the preservation of the sterility of the space, which would be violated by a large number of visitors.

The large refractor building, the small refractor building, the school tour pavilion, the library, the administration building, the auxiliary sky observation tower without a telescope, the sunwatch...

These are all attractions that were nice and useful to see...
If the observatory ever opens its doors to visitors, I will definitely visit it again and share the experience in another weekend experiences post.

After the walk, we returned to our planned indoor activities, just as it was getting dark... First a restaurant for a delicious lunch and then home for late night socializing.

Considering what the announcement was for the weekend, we had a great time.
