Reflecting on My Hive Journey: Balancing Life, Blogging, and Powering Up
It's time to record my Hive journey.
My first three posts on autobiographical blogging:
In writing this fourth post as part of my autobiographical journey on Hive, I need to be selective for I can’t cover all my activities on the platform for the last four days.
As for my series of articles on John Murray’s book, I think that deserves a separate story and directory.
The Value of Our Loved Ones
Let me start with the value of our loved ones. Looking at @chrisrice’s post, I observe that he is a happy and satisfied man. Not many enjoy such a life especially older men who suffered emotional wounds during their younger years.
@bibana’s question reminds me of a man who cherished the day of his wedding as the most memorable one. It’s like a rare jewel that he treasured the most. To him, his wedding day seems like just yesterday; it was still fresh in his mind before that tragic day. However, such a memory faded sixteen years ago. Now, every time he witnessed weddings, he felt lost.
Foodie
From that sentimental reflection, my interest shifted to something yummy. Seeing @nave7’s food post, I could not help but be hungry. Match it with @ftbuzz’s post, it reminds me of a Korean dish. My favorite Korean dishes are Samgye-tang and Kimchi jjigae. However, I should take the soup with rice first before eating the dessert.
Turning Political
Then I got political when @sabrina asked about the whereabouts of freedom of speech in our time. For a few, they consider it a treasure, but for many, a threat, particularly those who want to control and regulate even our private lives.
The irony of our time is the love/hate relationship we maintain with those in control. When our interests are concerned, we have no problem with governments interfering in our private affairs. But when their laws and policies affect us negatively, that’s the time we want either minimal civil government or no government at all.
In my case, though I cannot do away with government interference completely because of the nature of my work, I love to reach a stage in my life where I don’t want to do anything with them. For now, for the sake of the financial survival of our institution, I will bear with the inconsistency of big government.
Hive Stats and BBHO
Checking @hivebuzz, I came up with interesting numbers about the variety of species in the Hive Ocean and the size of their power. As of four days ago, there are 41 Whales, 283 Orcas, and 1,762 Dolphins. That’s a total of 2,086 Hivians that take Hive seriously as a business. Hopefully, Planktons and Minnows will learn from them to grow their size too in the coming months and years.
Concluding my today’s story, I want to end with a token that I consider very profitable at the moment. I am referring to @bradleyarrow’s BBHO. The reason why I said this is not only because its bid price is relatively high compared to other Hive Engine tokens, but also because my mother’s account was able to send me 4.047 HIVE for staking, and a considerable portion of that came from the BBHO that she sold.
Ending this story by powering up 4.047 HIVE!
Note: The prompts I used to generate the images are as follows: family gathering, wedding ring, a laptop with stats, a small upward arrow, Korean dish, globe, and freedom of speech. And then I uploaded all these images to Canva to create a collage.
