Creating a Directory for My Hive Journey
My first two posts:
To easily track my articles in the long term, I plan to start a kind of directory containing ten articles. It’s like a recap article of the past ten posts. Even on the chain, it is not easy to browse articles published several years ago; it takes so much time.
Once I am done with the first list, I will make another post to cover all ten lists with ten articles in it, and I think I will end with that, not unless of course, I can create a thousand articles. My father hasn’t reached that number yet despite more than three years of blogging.
And so, my goal is to provide a Sitemap for my blog for easy access to past posts.
Now, time to review the past two days.
Last 12th September, I shared my story of how I shifted from playing Splinterlands to blogging after recovering my Hive account. My plan just like what I am doing now was to track my progress from zero HIVE Power to 1,000 HP.
After publishing my first post, I searched @bradleyarrow’s curation trail on HiveVote and subscribed to it. That’s the advantage of having a family that roamed around Hive for eight months before realizing how Hive works. It is not easy to start on Hive without someone to guide you or a community to support you. A curation trail, though some don’t like it would somehow provide the initial boost and motivation that a newbie needs.
Here’s the post of @bradleyarrow announcing updates on the BBH Project including my new entry to the curation trail. I am glad to know that the curation trail now has 228 members. I imagine the curation trail’s potential for support once all the members increase their HIVE Power in years to come.
And then I am reminded of @dustbunny with its ability to “fluff up” rewards. After powering up 5.27 HIVE I received from my parents, I decided to delegate 5.715 HP just to test how it works. I shared this action as a thread on InLeo. My thread generates two comments about @dustbunny. I explained that the reason why I delegated to @dustbunny is because I am just starting my Hive journey with no HP. My father told me that @dustbunny adds a small amount to my insignificant votes. I just want to test if this is true. Though I am uncertain that it is still being implemented, my basis for saying this is this four-year-old post:
That's where I come in and try to help. I'll watch all your dusty votes and dusty rewards to try and fluff them up with an additional vote, to meet the reward requirements before payday.
Turning to the 13 September post, I wrote about the advantages and setbacks of autobiographical blogging. For me, autobiographical blogging turns daily life into stories, fostering growth, skills, and connection. After publishing this post, I received a notification from HiveBuzz:
The gamification introduced by @HiveBuzz to chain activity is advantageous on many counts. It makes the entire Hive ecosystem more engaging, rewarding, and sustainable. It motivates users to write comments more on other posts and distribute upvotes. It also provides users with a sense of direction by seeing their progress and accomplishments. This enhances user retention too. These are just a few examples of the benefits of gamification. We can add more such as the feeling of a sense of ownership, attracting a broader audience, and increased transparency and accountability.
Lastly, I would like to mention the new token introduced by @anadolu in this post. If I understand the article correctly, the aim of creating TRADE is to increase liquidity and transaction volume in Hive-Engine. The creator came up with this idea after several years of observing how tokens on Hive Engine perform. With the initial supply of 500 and a maximum supply of 21,000, I think TRADE will be protected from volatility as seen in most Hive Engine tokens because of the huge supply. I expect that this token will be relatively stable compared to other tokens. If such stability is achieved, I also anticipate that the project will provide a certain level of capital to increase the liquidity and depth of Hive-engine tokens while also producing a specific volume of transactions.
I concluded my day by powering up 1.59 HIVE.
