Adapting to Change: Reflections on January's Leo Power Up Day and Hive Goals
Today is LEO power-up day. I observe two changes.
One, the Leo Power Up Day table on HiveBuzz is no longer available. I didn't read any announcement or update explaining about this change.
Two, I wonder why I could not log in and publish a post using this account on the InLeo platform. I am thinking that perhaps this is just temporary. The good thing is that we still have several blogging platforms on Hive, and so I will publish this post using PeakD.
The total quantity of LEO that our family received as part of both curation and content creation rewards for the past month is 122. For the last three months, I have been powering up 200 LEO every #LPUD. However, this month I don't have any liquid HIVE to use to purchase LEO, and so I have decided to just power up 122 LEO for the first month of 2025:

To monitor my LEO account, I have to initiate a new table for this year:

I think my goal to achieve the kitten status with 1,000 LEO power will be delayed until March 15 this year. I need 278 more LEO to achieve this goal. Once the kitten goal is achieved, the newborn cub with 2,000 LEO will be my new goal.
Hive Engine Tokens and HIVE Power
My Hive Engine wallet is now back to $78.31 from $73.7 five days ago. This tells me that the prices of both LEO and CENT are bouncing back.
As for my HIVE power, I now have 199.75 from 181.048 last month. I added 18.702 HP. That's very small. Nevertheless, the good thing is that the USD value of my HP jumped from $55.73 last month to $98.15 today. That's a huge growth, thanks to the recent rally in the price of HIVE that I am now celebrating a 76.11% increase!
I am aware that such a celebration can be either short-lived or prolonged, depending on the direction of the price of HIVE.
Combining the value of my HP and my stakes in Hive Engine tokens, the total value of my Hive account is now $176.46. Last month, it was $124.759. Four months ago, I started with zero. I wonder how HIVE will thrive in 2025. Perhaps reaching one thousand USD this year is not too idealistic after all.
So that's the story of my Leo and Hive journey for the past month.
