I am writing this post based on two articles. The first one was written by Stefan Calimanu on 12 July 2022.

According to his graph derived from Hootsuite, the Philippines is the third highest in cryptocurrency ownership among developing countries. This chart was made in January 2022. According to the report, 19.4% of Internet users aged 16 to 64 hold cryptocurrency. Thailand is the first and Nigeria is second.

I'm not sure if Calimanu's graph is reliable. This is for the reason that Thailand's entry into the first place is strange. I saw it for the first time and I didn't expect it

In the second article, although the focus of the survey is different, ten months later, the Philippines according to Business World has fallen from second to sixth regarding cryptocurrency adoption. This report is not only focused on developing countries. The United States is included and ranks fourth in cryptocurrency adoption. India, Nigeria, and Vietnam lead the way. Ukraine is fifth. Source

Keisha B. Ta-asan, like Calimanu, mentioned that the remittance market is still the main reason that pushes Filipinos to adopt cryptocurrency.

Although the title of the article has to do with the continuation of increasing the level of cryptocurrency adoption in the Philippines, if you read the article carefully, it seems that what the writer is promoting to be accepted by Filipinos is none other than CBDC. The writer mentioned the results of the survey done in 2022 that 93% of the 86 central bank respondents around the world are busy creating virtual assets.

I can agree to the adoption rate that we lowered down, with the scams ongoing lately people are becoming more hesitant to jump into the crypto verse. Most scammers use crypto now for investments as it is easy to say that they loss in the trade etc.

Dami ding scammer na Pinoy ngayon kaya negative when they use the term crypto na.

Btw another tip, if the content is more on crypto-related stuff I would suggest you post this in Leofinance, then just use the #tagalog or tagalogtrail in one of your major tags para lumabas parin sya sa feed ng bot. ( Kung may tagalog translation) in that way, curators from Leofinance may be able to see your content din.

Same observation here. That's one reason why I gave up on one Reddit group with the Discord platform. Gladly, just recently, I stumbled three young Pinoy accounts here on Hive na mukhang ang focus nila is to grow their HIVE Power. That's how I think this technology should be treated.

Completely agree! Alam mo ba na outside Hive wala akong masyadong alam na tokens and crypto, medyo takot ako mag explore outside Hive blockchain kasi parang walang masyadong security to such.

Dito, your reputation and interaction matters kaya sobrang goods ang Hive as a starter na nag aaral ng crypto, you can join for free pa.

Not sure kung totoo na this time sa June 28.

I saw back then some folks accepting Pi as a mode of payment - di lang ako sure kung totoo yun and if nag ROI na sila.

Wala pang nag ROI diyan. Mag three years na ako nag mamine. Ang latest update, 10M na ang na KYC out of 55M members all over the world.

interesting to see some of the countries in Sout East Asia is on top of the graph, but does it means that we are the leading user of the cryptocurrencies? or we are just a big numbers, but will small percentage of the power. : )

I think you're right, only in terms of number of users and not when it comes to capital power.

It will be a never ending cycle unless pagaralan mo.

I see as far better lalo na sa aspect ng decentralization. Hindi kagaya ng Pi Network, mukhang malabo, only good in paper.
