My Cleaning Activity For Monday 25th of March, 2024.

Good morning my fellow Hivers, welcome to my blog. Today I carried out my cleaning activity within the next community. The environment is very beautiful with lots of vegetation. The only thing I noticed here was that the people dump refuse inside the gutters. It was littered with plastics, polythene, sachet of water, wraps of biscuits and sweets, and styrofoam. Styrofoam is already banned in this part of the world. Styrofoam is a type of polystyrene (a type of plastic) foam that's light yet strong. It's used by many restaurants to serve food, drinks, beverages etc.

The essence of the gutters is to prevent the environment from being waterlogged, these gutters serve as drains to channel the water into larger water bodies. Gutters prevent water from accumulating on your roof by collecting rainwater and redirecting it away from your home's foundation, so as to prevent it from causing rot, deterioration or mold. It also helps to prevent basement flooding, soil erosion. Gutters also help to protect your landscaping by preventing soil erosion and water damage to plants and flower beds. Overall, the purpose of gutters is to safeguard your home from water-related issues and maintain its structural integrity. Let's be aware that the gutters are meant for liquid wastes and not solid wastes.
