Probably Never See Again

You know, most people who face the death penalty are going to be sitting in jail for the next 10/15/20 years. As you know, people attempt to appeal this, and you know there's going to be some lawyer out there that's going to take the case and they're going to run with it. And so this guy, even if he disagrees with the death penalty.

What he still gets to probably live another two decades, you know, so it's. Having been the victim of somebody else taking somebody from my family and having to go through the court proceedings is a horrific thing. Because at the end of the day, when the woman who killed my brother got sentenced to almost the Mac sentence that she could have gotten, I was actually impressed, given the judge's track record. She's got 20 years.

I didn't feel whole at the end of it, you know? I didn't feel, you know, justice was curved. But I got to walk her through the camera, her, her grandmother grieving for her granddaughter that she will probably never see again because the grandmother will pass before, you know. And as a parent, you look at your child not as the person they are, but as the person that they once were. You look at your child with goodness.

When my son is in his 30s, I'm going to remember him as a toddler. I'm going to remember him as the little infant. And so, you know, there are victims all over. Trashy. And it's like even when justice is served, as somebody who thought I had a false pretext, I thought the day that the justice woman got convicted that the skies were going to park, the sun was going to be shining.
