My Actifit Report Card: June 12 2024
Hey Actifitters,
After a couple of cooler days, the heat was back yesterday. Like I mentioned many times, we don't like heat! But we tried to take many short breaks in the yard during the day.
Heat or no heat, Le Chat's main activity stays the same...
Late afternoon, it wasn't much cooler, but we tried a walk to the forest anyways.
Unfortunately Kaia showed the same signs as the day before, it's pretty sure her recurring infections are back. She kept lying down, which is very unusual for her when we're in the forest.
So we again cut our walk short, just grabbed a couple Cubiverse vaults and started on our way back.
The Moon was already up there. I tried many settings on my phone, but I just couldn't get it to keep the dark blue of the sky. It did capture the Moon very well though.
We took the shortcut through the forest and as you can see in the background, Kaia was still sitting every time she could.
Darkness was upon us when we made it back to the last few blocks.
Another day with a shortened walk because Kaia is not 100%. If it doesn't get better over the week end, we'll have to go to the vet. The heat will probably reduce our activities too, so maybe the rest will help her.

Thanks! Yeah Le Chat also seems to prefer cooler temps, but she can tolerate heat, we just can't! Not really sure anymore what's going on with Kaia, let's see how the week end goes for her.

Well, compared to Kaia being in constant motion, Le Chat makes it easy by not doing anything a lot !lolz Try the portrait mode too, I like how it focuses on the subject and blur everything around it.
Right now, it's 'only' around 85F (or 29C), but next week is supposed to reach 100F (38C), with of course really high humidity (90+ %).

interestingly, after a couple of pleasantly cool days (t-shirt weather in the afternoon, but chilly in the mornings), a heat wave is coming our way too. Up to 35 C forecast for next week. I will have to start walks with Pedro early, like 4:30am. Neither he nor I appreciate high temperatures!
It's funny how sometimes weather seems to match thousands of miles away. According to forecast, we'll be flirting with the symbolic 100F (38C) most of next week. Wow, 4:30a, impressive! I'm often not even in bed yet at that time though, so for us it will probably be late night walks !lolz Depends if Kaia gets better also.
