Splinterlands Art Contest Week 344; Blinding Reflector

One of the cards I find confusing is this. Having gotten used to seeing cards being named after the character or their abilities like the Queen of Crows, Runemancer Florre or Doctor Blight. When you come across cards like these you tend to wonder if the name is for the characters’ shield of the man himself. I think for some clarity a Splinterlands movie should be made even if it’s just shorts and when it has gained momentum, we can take the series road, just saying.

What really inspired this piece was a picture of the Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo I saw this evening. After staring at it for a while I undress and redressed him and I saw a possibility, three actually. I then weighed my options to see which one I would properly represent. I also considered the background (you know how that has always troubled me) and seeing how beautiful it was in my mind I decided to give it a go.

The background depicts a cloudy night whose clouds are letting out rain. One happy thing is that while I was doing it (the background) I found a number of brushes which subsequently will make my works easier.
