A Graphite Sketch; Woman

This evening I had some spare time and when I see opportunities like that, I make sure to utilize them and the best way so far has been drawing portraits at intervals. It took some finding before I stumbled on this gorgeous beauty of a reference. I had poured through months and months of collected photos and arts and no one seemed worthy of my mood. I had even given up and started drawing a puppy when I noticed the proportions were off. I retraced my steps and after I came to the realization, I set off to find another subject.

It was during this second rounding that I stumbles upon this beauty. I took my time in layering this art and made sure to a large extent that I was close to accurate as regarding proportions. I just love this piece.
